Bhí cáil air as a chuid oibre teilifíse, m.sh. Léargas agus cláir agus scannáin a bhain leis na healaíona. Ar a chnuasaigh dánta, tá, ina measc: Gleann ar Ghleann (1981); Bligeard Sráide (1983); Scuais (1998); Freacnairc Mhearcair / The Oomph of Quicksilver (2000).
As a founding member of INNTI, it is acknowledged that Michael Davitt inspired the growth/revival of Irish-language poetry in his day. He was employed as manager for Gael Linn for some time and has also been involved in many other Irish campaigns. He was renowned for his contribution to telivision, including works such as Léargas, and also telvision programmes and films about the Arts. His poetry collections include: Gleann ar Ghleann (1981); Bligeard Sraide (1983); Scuais (1998); Freacnairc Mhearcair / The Oomp of Quicksilver (2000).
