Born in Belfast in 1959, Eoghan Ó Néill established the daily Irish language newspaper Lá with Gearóid Ó Cairealláin in 1984. He established the online news site, www.nuacht24.com in 2009. He is currently director of the News section at Raidió Fáilte. Two travel books by him were published by Coiscéim, those being Cathracha (2007) and Cathracha i gCóngar is i gCéin (2011). The theatre group Aisling Ghéar produced his play about corruption among Northern politicians, Úr Te Bruite, in Belfast, Dublin and on tour around Ireland in 2002.
