Majella Ní Dhomhnaill
Is as Bré i gContae Chill Mhantáin do Majella Ní Dhomhnaill. Gearrscéalta, úrscéal d’fhoghlaimeoirí fásta agus dráma raidió atá scríofa go dtí seo aici.
Ghlac Majella páirt i Scéim na Meantóireachta (de chuid Fhoras na Gaeilge) leis an scríbhneoir Mícheál Ó Ruairc sa bhliain 2012. Ba ansin a scríobh sí an chéad dréacht dá cnuasach gearrscéalta, Cuimhní Poircealláin agus Scéalta Eile, a bhain duais ag Comórtais Liteartha an Oireachtais na bliana 2013 agus a d’fhoilsigh Cló Iar-Chonnacht sa bhliain 2024. Tá gradaim bainte ag a cuid gearrscéalta ag comórtais de chuid an Manchester Irish Language Group agus Books Ireland le beagán de bhlianta anuas.
Bhí sé d’ádh ar Majella páirt a ghlacadh i Scéim na Meantóireachta arís sa bhliain 2018 leis an scríbhneoir Áine Ní Ghlinn, agus scríobh sí úrscéal d’fhoghlaimeoirí fásta, Mise do Mhamó, le linn na tréimhse sin. Bronnadh duais ar Mise do Mhamó ag Comórtais Liteartha an Oireachtais na bliana 2019 sular fhoilsigh LeabhairCOMHAR sa bhliain 2020 é.
Bhain a dráma raidió, Bíobla don Bheirt Againn, duais ag Comórtais Liteartha an Oireachtais na bliana 2022 agus craoladh den chéad uair é ar an stáisiún Phoenix fm sa bhliain 2023.
Tá cónaí ar Majella i mBaile Átha Cliath anois lena fear céile is a mbeirt pháistí, agus a saol gairmiúil caite mar achtúire aici. Tá sí fíorbhuíoch as an tacaíocht atá faighte aici thar na blianta lena dúil sa Ghaeilge a chothú.
