Portraidi.ie wins the Eir Spiders award

We were honoured and delighted that the website www.portraidi.ie won first prize in the category for best Irish-language website of the year 2016 in the national Eir Spiders Digital Technology Awards contest.

We were honoured and delighted that the website www.portraidi.ie won first prize in the category for best Irish-language website of the year 2016 in the national Eir Spiders Digital Technology Awards contest. The award was presented at a ceremony on Wednesday 30 November. This win is confirmation of the website’s superb design and excellence as a resource for reference, research and learning for all those with an interest in Irish-language literature. The fact that this pioneering, historical website which also fulfils an archival aim has already received such recognition only a few months into its existence is a particular source of pride to the project participants.
