Ar a shaothair eile bhí úrscéal, Sionnach ar mo Dhuán (1988); a léacht ‘Thar Ghealchathair Soir’ (Cumann Merriman, 1973) agus an léacht tionscnaimh sa tsraith ‘Léacht Uí Chadhain’ (‘Máirtín Ó Cadhain: an Pholaitíocht agus an Ghaeilge’), Deireadh Fómhair 1980 sa Choláiste Ollscoile, Baile Átha Cliath.
Ó hEithir was employed as editor for Sáirséal and Dill and also worked as editor of Comhar. He was employed as an Irish Language editor in the Irish Press and worked as a columnist; a broadcaster and scriptwriter for radio, telivision and film. His novel Lig Sinn i gCathú was awarded first prize in/at the 1975 Oireachtas. Some of his other works include the novel, Sionnach ar mo Dhuán (1988); 'Thar Ghealchathair Soir' (Cumann Merriman, 1973), and the inaugural lecture ('Máirtín Ó Cadhain: an Pholaitíocht agus an Ghaeilge') given in October, 1980, as part of the 'Léacht Uí Chadhain' series in UCD.
